I am made from the wool of the long-horned Rogan Goats that live on the south continent. Sheered when the fleece was at its fullest then carded and spun by two elderly Luxan sisters who know no other trade. As skeins of yarn I was sold to a textile mill in the capital and woven into the thick material I am now. My color comes from crushed Kaxin berries picked just past ripeness, boiled for twenty aarns and then cured so that my deep burgundy hue would not fade.

When I was a bolt of cloth I was bought by a skilled tailor and delivered to his workshop. The moment I arrived he set to work on me, folding and cutting to exact measurements that had been provided for him. I was pinned and stitched, hemmed and pressed. The tailor's assistants finished off my accents and attached my clasps. Pressed neatly and folded with care, I was placed in a box and sent to a great hall filled with candles and icons. I was laid out on a great wooden table along side others of my kind. I had a tag pinned to my front with the name of the warrior I was made for, and then I was blessed by a holy man.

With great ceremony I was brought out before a young Luxan warrior who knelt as if it was I that he prayed to. I was placed on his shoulders and held as he slipped his arms into my sleeves. When the warrior stood I was pulled tight and fastened. As expected, I was a perfect fit, as if this warrior and I were meant to be one. It was then that I learned my name.

I am a warriors cloak, a symbol of strength and purity. The right to wear me must be earned and honored. I am regarded as important as a Qualta blade.

Since that day I have been worn thought two battle campaigns, a secret wedding and have seen the inside of a prison. I have been sweat in, soiled and bled on. Although I have been washed many times and received meticulous care I have faded a bit and will always hold the scent of the warrior who wears me.

Despite all the hardships and tragedy, the anger and the pain, the right to wear me has never faltered. Through all those cycles the warrior's honor has never been tainted.

And so I remain D'Argo's coat.
